This internet based airline fare forecasting service is still in beta stage but has already received rave review from electronic and print media. This has been on Time's top 25 coolest sites and also BusinessWeek's "Best of the web 2006" list.
Farecast.com uses a set of complex algorithms to predict whether fares on most domestic routes will go up or down. To forecast, the site analyzes past fare trends in airline databases and other factors. It updates its fares shortly after 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. eastern time. Enter your itinerary and the site will advise if you should buy your ticket now or should wait for an even better deal in future. You can also get farecast special deals for flights departing from some of the largest metro areas. Farcase is becoming a must tool for those who are booking their flights online and also paying for it from own pocket ;-)
